Jenny Barrow
Blacksmith International
Jenny Barrow is currently the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Blacksmith International. A product design and production partner company. Previous to this position Jenny has over 12 years of experience working with nonprofits and government agencies including, the YMCA, Girl Scouts, Communities In Schools, the Town of Chapel Hill, NC, Lee County, NC and Warrior Rising. Jenny graduated with a BS in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership- Nonprofit emphasis and an MPA with a focus on social entrepreneurship both from BYU. She participated in Grantwell from 2010-2012. While with Grantwell she was on the team that created the Be a Philanthropist program, and she served as the Strategic Development Executive for Grantwell. She is excited to serve the Grantwell program and the students at BYU.
Chaud Richards
Netzel Grigsby Associates, Inc.
Chaud is Senior counsel in the consultancy firm, Netzel Grigsby Associates, which serves non-profit clients ranging from the arts, museums, hospitals and education, to environmental, youth, and social service organizations. Previously, he spent more than a decade as a nonprofit executive in program management and fund development. He serves on the executive committee of the Advisory Board of the George W. Romney Institute of Public Management, and as a board member of the YMCA of the East Bay, in Berkeley, CA.
Cody Hill
Midvale City
Cody Hill entered the MPA program at BYU in 2013 after receiving his undergraduate degree from BYU in European Studies and German. In his first year, he loved being a Grantwell program officer and helping the Tyler Robinson Foundation improve its beneficiary selection criteria.
Cody has worked for five years as a consultant to cities, counties, and special districts throughout Utah. He always keeps an eye open for opportunities for Grantwell to take on a local government project. Cody now works for Midvale City as the redevelopment agency manager and is thrilled to serve on Grantwell’s board.
Philip Webb
Operation Kids Foundation
Philip Webb is the executive director of Operation Kids Foundation, which supports charitable projects and NGOs around the world. For over 20 years Operation Kids has been the engine behind many industry-leading charities, and continues to collaborate with innovative changemakers and social entrepreneurs. Philip was an early adopter of the impact investing model. He established a fund for seed-stage social ventures that are seeking new and innovative approaches to alleviating global poverty. In addition to managing the impact fund, he consults with and serves on the boards of various social enterprises and international NGOs. He has lived in the UK, Mexico, Peru, and Paraguay, where he incubated fintech, edtech, and agri-business start-ups, and developed an alternative energy fund for Latin America. Philip served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Curitiba, Brazil. He received his bachelor’s degree from BYU, and an MPA from George Washington University, where he studied nonprofit management and international development. He recently completed a master’s degree at Oxford University, where he studied impact investing and economic development. He and his wife are the happy parents of 5 children and live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Andrew Marshall
Partnership for Public Service
Andrew is the Director for Leadership Development and a certified executive coach at the Partnership for Public Service.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Andrew worked as the executive director of Grantwell. He has a BA in Journalism from the University of Utah and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from Brigham Young University. He lives in Maryland with his wife and five children. He enjoys hiking, history, making movies with his family, and rollerblading.
Talia Strong
Cicero Group
As a social impact management consultant for Cicero Group, Talia Strong works alongside foundations, public charities, and social enterprises to create lasting, high-impact change through strategy development, program design, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation support. Prior to this job, Talia worked in the nonprofit and higher education sectors to advance education equity among historically underrepresented students. She has a BA in History and an MPA from Brigham Young University.
Jordan Wright
California State Auditor’s Office.
Jordan is a Senior Auditor with the California State Auditor’s Office. He has worked on a wide variety of performance audits and policy evaluations related to K-12 education funding, water infrastructure, and the unemployment insurance crisis that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. Jordan is a Certified Fraud Examiner. He graduated from the BYU MPA program in 2009, and served as the grants director for the inaugural Grantwell team. Jordan lives in Roseville, California with his wife, Amy, and their four children.
Annalee Zeidner
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Annalee is currently a donor liaison on the Leadership Giving Team for the Philanthropies Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She completed her MPA at BYU in 2020, working with the Grantwell Executive team during her second year. She and her husband are currently raising 5 great kids. Prior to returning to BYU, she worked in public radio and higher education. She loves to cook and eat really good food, and she loves a good murder mystery.
Emily Cawlee
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
As a market director with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Emily supports partnerships with pediatric hospitals in the northeast US. Prior to her involvement with fundraising and non-profit consulting, Emily worked in the international development sector, for nearly a decade, focusing on clean water and mobility projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. In her free time, she can be found experimenting with a new recipe, getting her hands dirty in her garden, or yelling out often incorrect Jeopardy answers at her TV.
