Be a Philanthropist
This projects involves a Sorenson Legacy Foundation-funded program allocating $10,000 a semester in $1000 microgrants. In this project, you will recruit grant applicants and make grant allocation decisions. Skills involved will be strategic marketing, grant vetting and allocation, and understanding of grant-making environment.
Black 14
The Black 14 Philanthropy seeks to “educate, feed, and serve underserved communities.” Through this mission, they run three programs – the Black 14 Mind Body Soul Initiative, the Black 14 Scholarship Fund, and the Black 14 Student-Athlete Leadership Playbook. In their partnership with Grantwell, they want to expand and grow the Black 14 Scholarship Fund. Team members are working on researching, collaborating, and evaluating.
Glozen Institute
The Glozen Institute is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that inspires people to thrive in an interconnected world. The Institute promotes global understanding and engagement through education, research, and collaboration. The Institute’s vision is to empower a globally aware society and committed to the collective well-being of all. Grantwell will be assisting this organization in designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Utah Muslim Civic League
Utah Muslim Civic League works to get the growing Muslim population in Utah involved in public and civic affairs. In partnership with UMCL, Grantwell will be assisting them in evaluating their new Juvenile Justice Program and their standing Noor Business Center Loans Program. This will be done through surveys, data collection planning, interviews, and logic modeling.
