MARKETING DIRECTOR

Supervisor

The marketing director reports to the executive director and Dan Heist.

Purpose:

The marketing director oversees the outward appearance of Grantwell, creates marketing materials to promote Grantwell to clients and students, and seeks to expand the Grantwell experience.

Position Overview 

The Marketing Director manages the public-facing image of Grantwell and leads efforts to promote the program to both students and external partners. This role ensures brand consistency across materials and platforms while helping expand the reach and visibility of Grantwell. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and contribute to the annual report and other public-facing documents 

  • Oversee the Grantwell brand, including logo use and adherence to design standards 

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for student recruitment and client engagement 

  • Create marketing materials such as flyers, slide decks, and digital content 

  • Manage Grantwell’s website and social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) 

  • Commit to having a schedule of weekly posts on social media with topics related to teams, partners, and classes (PR). 

  • Track and report basic marketing metrics (social media engagement, website traffic, and recruitment conversions); this includes evaluating the effectiveness of outreach campaigns and recommending improvements. 

  • Use data to refine the marketing strategy, content strategy, and channel selection. 

  • Lead campus outreach and fall semester recruitment campaigns 

  • Organize Grantwell Picture Day and maintain a visual content library 

  • Train the incoming Marketing Director. 

Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week during Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter semesters. Required to attend all Grantwell and MPA 659R meetings and classes.
