Black 14 Wyoming Trip
Students Rahel Meyer, Nay Robsinson, Gracie McKeon and Cam, along with their professor Dan Heist traveled to Laramie, Wyoming. Laramie is the home of the cowboys, where 14 Black players were kicked off the Wyoming football team in protest of Blacks not receiving the Priesthood in the Church of Jesus Christ. Those players have since created a nonprofit called the Black14 that assists student athletes in their endeavors. The BYU Grantwell team has assisted the Black14 in several different projects. This most recent trip, students traveled to Laramie, attending the BYU tailgate event and then University of Wyoming tailgate event. At both places, students sold Black14 t-shirts to help raise money for the Black14. At the end of the night, we raised $1,516.
